Do you have a passion for projects within the (international) energy transition and sustainability? Then Arcadis offers you a challenging internship!

What are you going to do?

The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy has never been more urgent. We can only limit global warming if we all drastically reduce CO2 emissions. Because the industry as a whole is responsible for about 50% of the total emissions (industry & electricity), this sector has an important responsibility in the reduction of CO2 emissions. Of course, there is more to it than just shutting off one tap and turning on another.

The energy transition has major consequences for the industrial sector, from the adaptation of the energy infrastructure and production facilities to the adjustment of production processes.

Our customers deal with complex issues, such as reducing energy consumption and switching from fossil fuels to renewable or low-carbon energy sources. They also have questions about how they can better organize their energy systems and supply chains. We reduce global warming by helping our customers with the energy transition and making this development possible. Think, for example, of feasibility studies for hydrogen infrastructure, the roll-out of offshore wind farms, making the industry more sustainable, strengthening the electricity grid and the energy transition of urban areas.

As an energy transition intern at Arcadis, you will work on these exciting and challenging themes. Among other things, you will participate in projects in the energy transition, you will help to strengthen Arcadis’ market position and profile in this area. Because you are centrally positioned in the organization, you quickly develop a large network. You will get a good idea of our strategy and the opportunity to be active in different places in the organization.

Specifically, there are four themes for which we are looking for interns:

  3. Business and economic issues related to energy transition such as business case evaluations, feasibility studies and market outlooks;

  4. Transition of the industry such as transition management, process knowledge, sustainability and ESG.

    Of course, you don’t do this alone. Under the guidance of experienced colleagues and in collaboration with the stakeholders, we will draw up the right research questions.

    Will you put your passion and knowledge into practice with us?

What do we ask?
